Where do you photograph your sessions?

c. phelps photography photographs in the studio, on the studio property, as well as on location.  Depending on your session type you desire, you will have several options or combinations to choose from.  As a general rule, however, sessions take place in and around the studio.

 

Do you offer framing?

YES! c. phelps photography specializes in art to decorate your home.  As such, we offer custom canvas gallery wraps, metal prints, gallery blocks, and custom-framed portrait art - in addition to other custom art displays, such as our image books.  We work with each client to ensure you choose a wall portrait display perfect for your images and the style of your home.

When do I get to see the images from my session and place my order?

The most important decisions in the portrait process occur during your viewing/ordering appointment.  We take great pride in providing our clients with an interactive and fun way to place your order.  The ordering appointment takes place approximately 14 days after your portrait session.  It is very important that all decision makers are present during this time, as this is the apppointment where your final decisions will be made. As this is a time where you will want to devote your full attention (ordering appointments take between 1 and 2 hours), we ask that you arrange for a babysitter for children under the age of 12.  At your viewing/ordering appointment, we will present your images in a gorgeous slideshow, and we will then help you select the images, groupings, books, and frames suitable for your home, office, and for gifts for friends and family.  We specialize in helping you select the best images and display presentations, and feel this process is a very important service that we can offer to our clients.

 

How long will it take to get my order?

Your portraits will be ready for pickup approximately 3-4 weeks after your order is placed.  Quality takes time, so please allow us the time needed to provide you with the quality you expect from a custom portrait photography studio.

 

How long will you keep my files?

Non-ordered images will be removed from our system following your ordering appointment - we do not archive files which are not ordered.  All ordered images are archived for a period of 1 year.

 

What if I need to reschedule my session?

Our commitment to you is that you will get our undivided attention during your session, therefore we will NEVER double book our appointment times.  Because of this, all of our time slots are extremely valuable and should you need to reschedule your appointment time, we ask for at least a one week notice.  While our session fees are non-refundable, you may use it for a one-time reschedule (if called within the one week time-frame) to be scheduled within 6 months of your original appointment date.  

 

When do I pay for my session fee and what does it cover?

Your full session fee payment is required at the time of booking. This fee is the only way to hold your appointment.  The session fee covers the time and talent of the photographer during your session as well as preparing the images for your viewing session and is non-refundable.*  It is not considered a deposit toward the payment of portraits. 

 

Can I have my items shipped to me?

If you desire shipping, we will charge a shipping and handling fee for your portait order.

 

When is payment due for my order?

We require 50% of your order total at the time the order is placed when your order is more than $500. If your order is under $500, then we require payment in full at the time of ordering. We do offer payment plans if needed.  Your order must be paid for in full in order to pick up any portion of your order.  Orders are non-refundable once the 50% payment has been received.

 

What if I want to make a copy of my image?

All images remain the property of c. phelps photography and are protected by federal copyright laws.  Duplication in part or whole (whether by scanning or reprinting) is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted by law.  This includes posting scanned images on social media website.

 

What if I want to use images from my session for my yearbook?

Up to two images will be provided for yearbook use.  Please choose those images at your ordering session.  You will need the yearbook deadline as well as the email address to your yearbook advisor. Images will not be sent to any email address that isn't affiliated with a school or church for printing use.

 

When do we see the images?

Ordering appointments are scheduled usually within two weeks of your appointment.  These appointments are held in the evening at 5 or 7pm.

 

*session fees are non-refundable if session is cancelled less than 3 weeks from your session date and serves as your agreement to all of the policies listed above. If you reschedule your session, your inital fee will be applied to the new date.  Must be within 30 days of your original date.
